Leopard’s Lair extends a kindhearted welcome to all families and provides a fun, relaxing and child friendly environment. The farm is a perfect destination for those guests who enjoy the outdoors. The farm is conveniently situated between Durban and Johannesburg, a mere 10kms off the N3.
Leopard’s Lair allows guests to relax with their family and friends in the historic thatched cottage that is set out in the magnificent gardens, at the heart of the active maize and cattle farm. The cottage can accommodate 7 guests in their lovely spacious bedrooms, with five single beds and one double bed.
Leopard’s Lair cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, fireplace for those cold winter evenings, a bathroom and dining room area. End off your day with a true South African braai, just as the sun sets, showing off its marvelous colours on the Lowlands Valley.
The conventional farmyard is definitely a thrill for all the children, with all the occasional calves and lambs to feed, turkeys, bunnies, guinea pigs and eggs to gather. The farm has abundant birdlife, including the Blue Crane. Ideal for hiking, painting, biking, farm tracks to venture out on and photography. Not to mention the extremely rare and endangered butterflies – Dingaan’s Widow, Estcourt Blue and Mooi River Opal…

Is the bushpig baited? I get that jackal generally roam but am more interested in the bush pig and warthog. –
Not baited per se - the farm is a working farm with maize lands. The pigs do a lot of damage this time of year and are in very good condition due to the abundance of food.
